If you want someone interesting, bring in Jhun Hoon or something. Choi's a pretty generic charge character who's similar to Vega in alot of ways.

So wait...you're telling me the close to 40 characters in CvS2 weren't enough, and yet 16 characters from SNK is like manna from heaven? Ha.

Not to mention...

Iori, Mai, Kyo, Terry, Ryo...over half the SNK side is their 'mainstay' characters. Much like Capcom does with their fighters.

Ah well - I hope it plays well and they do some very interesting things with these characters I've seen more times to count, otherwise I'll stick to CvS2.

Hero's right. I'd only keep in Terry, but make him his Garou incarnation, and bring in Rock, K', Kula and others, and start dropping Kyo and Iori. I think they've reached everything they can do with those characters.

Well, maybe Ryo also, because I'm a huge AoF fan, and CvS just did him wrong.

But cmon, it's gonna be the same damn Guile we've been seeing for years, with his same two moves. If they wanted someone like Guile, they can choose from Remy OR Charlie.

It's like both companies can't get away from this "we must use the rosters that made us famous in the early 90's" stigma.

And I can guarantee, without a doubt, with these rosters, Rugal will DEFINATELY show up. He's the definite SNK dream boss.

They're trying to represent their respective companies. Making an SNK vs. Capcom game starring Brian Battler and Juni is not an effective or sensible way to do that.

But in the case of SNK, I feel their company would be better represented by the inclusion of K' and Kula, because Kyo and Iori play no part in the story anymore.

I mean, they took Zangief out for Hugo, I want to see the same thing happen with different characters. Gives it a fresh look. However, looking at the roster now, it's just the same old thing I've been playing except for some obscure characters, and Earthquake.

SNK was DEFINATELY on the right track. You get a core cast, then start adding people from long ago (like Earthquake, that fucking rocks), popular new favorites (like Hugo), or people where they can completely make over themselves (like Tabasa and Shiki).

But what happened? The roster was just starting to get damn interresting, and now it's over? It just upsets me over 3/4 of the roster is just rehashes, because you KNOW these characters will be the same thing we've played for the last 10 years (or in Ryu's case, 15).

CvS 2 got good for me, because of all the characters they added that weren't typical Capcom or SNK characters. If SNK adds at least 3-5 more characters per side, who aren't typical fare (Like Zangief), then I'll be happy. It just seems SNK made a generic game with the basic characters.

Except for Earthquake. As long as he's still huge, that fucking owns.

Only 16 characters?? I can't believe that this is the final roster...hopefully it's like Marvel vs Capcom 2 where over half the characters are hidden and can be unlocked...

Have faith. SvC: MotM is better than CvS and CvS2 put together.

Yeah, MotM didn't need 74 characters to kick ass.

And Guile's hair f'n rules in that character art. :)

I have faith, but I'm dissapointed with ALL the characters in the companies rich roster, they couldn't have fleshed things out better.

I mean, honestly, they won't change ANYONE from the Capcom side moves wise, so I might as well fire up Super Street Fighter 2.

This won't be as mainstreamed as CvS 2, and I had counted on SNK to give me the diversity that didn't really happen until CvS 2 (and even then there were characters I still hoped would make it, but didn't)

But it also had Geese, Leona, Darkstalkers characters...sure, still 'mainstay' in these vs. games, but more interesting than this lineup.

Oh, and I just played CvS2 yesterday. I haven't touched MotM in 7 months.
