Also, the AES version has been RE-Delayed until November 11th. FUCK!
Yeah I saw that when I was in there a few days ago, I didn't play it because I was in a hurry though :\Quote:

there is another machine in Times Square. Its in an arcade called Lazer Park. Its a friggin dollar per game though. Although they do have the Inital D racing game (version2). American version. Complete with cards and everything. :tu:

Ah well, not too bad. When was the PS2 version supposed to hit again(What, me go back and search the thread? No way).
Hmmm....
Maybe if I'm lucky my bonus check from work will come in around the same time the cart is released. Joy!
I've given up trying to save for it, there is far too much good shit coming out in games and on DVD.
Any word on an official MVS release yet?
There probably won't be any MVS release. All the arcade owners who wanted the game probably purchased it already. I don't think they'll make an MVS version just for a few hundred crazy bastards who just happen to have MVS machines in their house. The only chance would be if they needed to distribute the game around South America and Mexico, but I assume most of them bought a bootleg dirt cheap. So yeah....MVS release is very unlikely.
Then I guess I'll be getting a bootleg... :curse:
Oh well. SNK vs Capcom sales - 1.
You're not going to deal with that jackass Japhei are ya?
I'm actually working on getting a free one from him. Although that may fall through.
Couldn't you just wait till the PS2 version comes out? It'll be AIDS free...
Free. You know?
From IGN:
Quote:
Reports out of Japan indicate that SNK vs Capcom SVC Chaos will arrive to the PS2 on December 18. The title will be published by Capcom foe SNK Playmore.
Features include eight stages of play along with extra stages used for boss battles and the ability to fight one on one. As a bonus, sure to be popular amongst fighting fans, those who preorder the title will receive two posters, one drawn by Capcom staff and one drawn by SNK staff.
Stay tuned for more as we learn it.
Hmm, seem the official MVS cart is being after all. Trieu says it coming November.
Well, went to the mall today to see "Kill Bill", and lo and behold, the arcade has the game everyone's talking about.
Impressions: Let's just say, it's rare that seeing a game in person makes it look worse than the movies on the internet. Animation, graphics, sound (from what I could tell) all...abyssmal. The sprites still don't match right, with characters like Kyo, Dhalism, and Hugo all looking like they came from different sources. I don't know how much of this is due to the sticks, but the control and engine felt really sloppy. It felt like I was fighting the game, more than playing it. Maybe, on a home system for cheap, I can see myself investing some time in this...it just feels like too little, too late to me.
-and: It doesn't help that my fav character, Guile, looks like a chump now.
I spoke with out friend Japhaei last night.
He claims that Playmore is producing a MVS cart because he "forced their hand" with his boots.
Also says that the MVS of MS5 is coming out in about one month.
Japhei can go fuck himself. He didn't force shit. There were boots in South East Asia before his shit came along. The JAMMA boards sold out. They realized that it wouldn't stop bitchboy bootleggers like Japhei and they guess they can make money in smaller territories like South America so they went back to producing inexpensive MVS carts. SNK Playmore better find a better way to protect their stuff better. This bootlegger shit is teh gay. Sooner or later SNKP is gonna rape Japhei's ass. You didn't get the free cart 88mph/Icepick?
Metal Slug 5 is being beta tested now. I assume it'll probably come out at the end of the month.
FuryFox, there is nothing wrong with SNK Guile. I don't know why you think Guile looks stupid. Looks fine to me. Different strokes for different folks I guess.....
Decided to pick up a MVS after the holidays. Fuck the boot.Quote:

Need a bigger version.
Slightly bigger version...

This cover is badass. Falcoon did a good freaking job on it. It's much better than the love making homecart art.
On a sidenote, SNK Playmore USA says there won't be any censoring on any new releases so we won't be seeing white blood.
Well said my friend, well said.Quote:

A shot from the comic......
Seven, isn't that a hack job, or is that the real deal?
Hack. Especially if it's coming from Japhei.
I'll get this thread back on track. SNK Playmore updated their page today with some new information on the PS2 version of SNK VS Capcom Chaos.
http://www.snkplaymore.jp/consumer/e...tion2.html#svc
It will have the usual gallery and survival mode.
Collecters for whatever reason just love the AES. It's one of the few gaming related items that retains its value. Well that and most of them think console ports are vastly inferior. They are not particularly fond of loading time. Is it worth $300 US or more? That's debatable.....Quote:

Thread salvaged. Bicker in the Fight Club split thread at your leisure or here at your peril.
Thanks for cleaning it up. I apologize for any inconvience.
So I finally got a chance to play it.
I don't see why everybody complains about the game. Sure it's not the best game out there, but as far as I can tell it does the job fine.
Just got a chance to play it at the Nickel City in Chicago.
I can't believe this game was released this year. It looks about on par with KOF '95, but plays worse.
Embarrassing.
I finally played it just this week too. All I can say is, anybody who thinks this game looks bad should go play KoF 2003. That game redefines the meaning of fugly, and makes this look pretty damn good by comparison. And SvC plays just fine, it's just that from what I've observed over the last few years Neo arcade controllers only accept Korean dna. Anyone else has to wait for the home version.
You've played KOF 2003??? Hopefully, I assume you ment 2001 or 2002.
Er, yeah, 2002. It was hard to tell, since it was an HK bootleg and the title screen called it "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon". I'd forgotten Terry Bogard was in that movie.
Roms out. Those Japhei pics were legit(All the bosses are selectable on the main screen). This should hold some of you over for awhile. Happy hunting, though it's quite easy to find. Nonetheless, support Playmore, if you like what you play buy the PS2 version blah blah blah.
All the endings (enter at your own risk).
You need the RealOne player to watch it.
Yes, it is a spolier, so I take no responsibility after this.
A little easier to find than most roms, might I add. Regardless I'll buy a console version when it's out.Quote:

Maybe 15th is the date it was pirated because some people have it now, but they didn't pay for it. It sounds like a game that would only be interesting to little johnny pv anyway. :pQuote:

It's nice to see an art gallery, except it seems to contain the same character portraits you see everywhere. I'm sure they have tons of production art they could have easily slipped in there. Bah.
I'm interested in picking up the game but I think I might be better off putting this game off and picking up the Macross PS2 game with the same cash.
The sticks for the game, and some other stuff-
http://www.lik-sang.com/news.php?artc=3249
The Macross game is four hours long. I think you would get more play out of SNK vs Capcom in the long run.Quote:

I haven't kept up much with this thread, but I thought it was pretty universally agreed that SvC is complete and utter ass...Quote:

yeah i've heard the game is short as hell. Is the replay any good? I'm only buying SvC for VS play but if Macross is a very replayable game then it will be top priority.Quote:

I didn't buy it after hearing the four hour thing, but all the posts and reviews I've read say it's not very replayable because the mission variety isn't all that to begin with and the only thing you'll earn by replaying missions for top scores (which is supposedly insanely hard btw) is different colors for valkeryies. No actual new models (the few there are are unlocked just by beating the game). Bleh.Quote:

personally im liking it, im heading back to perfect this 8 hit combo i have going with Gouki that im liking
I see no difference between the graphics settings whatsoever (normal, arcade, type a, type b).
It's weird, because in Magic Box's pics it looks as if there's some sort of filtering going on for a smoother, more blended look. Maybe it's their size creating that illusion.
You LIKE that Gouki sprite? I mean, look at it! It's all... bulbous and hideous. Gah.Quote:

I think the lineup could've used a bit less KOF & SF, but as the first in the series, it's understandable to go with a majority of popular characters. (Please lose Choi!)
Gameplay may be broken, but I'm not good enough to exploit the computer's weaknesses anyhow. As it is, I just think it's lots of fun and certainly much better than Capcom vs. SNK 1.
Until SNK-Playmore makes a game that looks like Guilty Gear X/XX, people are going to piss on their games. Never mind that the GGX series is broken too, but hell, it's pretty right?
Is SVC coming to US PS2, or any other system, say.. DC, GC or XB?
Gimme a sec... I'll edit this in a bit.
EDIT: Wow, that took forever. Here we go!
Hmm - Yeah Mzo's right. That SF3 sprite looks better. Seems they went two steps back with the sprite design in SVC (at least for Akuma).
Some folks on the gamefaqs boards are talking about at Dreamcast version of SVC coming this Jan/Feb. (Yes, I know those boards are shit)
Has anyone heard about this?
That system has Street Fighter 3 on it.
That sprite pic is way too small to make a good comparison. All the clothing detail and shading are almost invisible. But, looking at the actual games side by side (or rather, one right after the other), I still think the SVC sprite is more detailed and better shaded. I'd even dare say the animation is pretty damned close, too.
The SVC sprites of Capcom characters are basically more detailed versions of the SFII sprites (okay, maybe not that bad, but still), so even if they were technically more detailed most still look worse because the perspective and style is complete ass. Akuma practically has his legs on backwards!Quote:

Side by side, there IS no comparison.
yeah theyre very similar to their SFII style im not overlly loving Akuma's sprite but im liking the 8 - 9 hit combo i have going with him
i really really really really like the way ken looks in this
and i now have a nice like 8 - 9 hit combo going with ken
Is it just me, or are Balrog/Vegas charging moves harder to do than in other games? I am having troubles activating his claw dives- it almost seems like there is a longer charging time required or something.
Yup. Charge moves are lot harder to pull off in SvC for some odd reason. Basically you have to hold the exact direction (either down or back) instead of in-between direction (holding db to charge doesn't really work in SvC) like what most people are used to in most Capcom games.
Wow, a bad game just got worse.
Augh, time for the guilty gear police to step in. I hope you are not refering to ggxx, which is about as unbroken as 2d fighter games get.Quote:

According to EB's release list, SvC:C has been delayed in the US until September. :wtf:
What?!?
What the hell? GameStop has it listed as June now... This is all messed up.
Dude..?
Looks like fucking Sony rejected another one. I'll wait for the XBOX version.
For once, I'm behind Sony 100%. I can't believe Capcom didn't reject this and slap S N K in the face.Quote:
