Well what if that chick was anti-war? What if Tim Robbins made what everyone is calling one of the greatest movies of our time? Would you go see it? If not, then you're the one that's losing. I think it's a little pathetic to boycott a movie, much less on the ground of one of the actors politcal beliefs. What would you say to all the people who went and saw the Pianist? Polanski druged a 13-year girl and raped her. Didn't stop that movie from making over $60 million worldwide. I think the seperation comes when a company or person does something really bad like rape someone, kill someone, run a sweatshop, that kind of stuff. But boycotting movies, books, music, whatever based on being anti-war is a little ridiculous.

I know this could easily be false, but remember, there are a lot of dual-use "pesticides" that could very easily be turned into nerve agents/bioweapons. They were still lead to barrels of the stuff at a military site by a tip from an Iraqi POW. So, who knows.

Once again, all these things you mention are in effect, it's just a little more subtle in the US. Over time I see our freedoms being limited more so.
