They would, but they didn't cuz it was a great movie.Quote:

How about not protesting at all. Think about it, you're protesting a person based on their beliefs. Doesn't that seem a little dumb to you? I will grant that in certain instances I would boycott something such as "The KKK's Greatest Lynchings", but I wouldn't boycott an actor for starring in a movie that has nothing to do with their political beliefs. It just seems silly to me. If you don't like the movie don't see it. But don't judge the film or the book or the CD based on political ideology. I bought a book the other day called "Useful Idiots", which I have yet to read. It's basically a Republican bashing any and all liberals. But I bought it to see what they had to say. Try to be a little more open minded and not like the fools who boycott French's mustard because it says French's. (It was named after the people who started the company, not the country).Quote:
If you can think of any other feasible way to protest, let me know.

And in any case, you accused my common sense of defying logic, and I asked you how. You have yet to answer.
I also asked you how many times you've been shut up by the government, you didn't answer.
I asked where the forced careers were. I asked where the bread lines were. Funny. My friends and I, we all chose our careers. And I haven't seen a government mandated, forced bread line anywhere.
I've actually read a little bit of the Patriot Act. It sounds like it was written by Orwell.

Oh grief. People often don't hang around people who're of a different political opinion from their own. That would make them personality protesters.Quote:

Protesting in this form is the only way I can let my voice be heard, if even in a minute fashion. If you've got a problem with it, fine. Just quit bitching at me. I don't piss and moan because you aren't protesting, so quite pissing and moaning at me because I do.
Heard of the book. Haven't had any interest reading it, though.Quote:

... I sort of already knew that.Quote:

The government does not have to come to your door to shut you up, since 9/11, the media is pushing the flag so hard and equating supporting Bush with being patriotic which equates to being American to the point where people are scared to voice any opposition in fear of being labeled a traitor, its ridiculous.Quote:

You said it right there yourself. It's the media, in your opinion, and not the government.Quote:

And as a side point, do you want to know why the media pushes the flag so much? The public loves it.
Why do you think bad news is so popular? Or Friends? Because people like it. Private corps have to cater to the masses.
I still await your answer about my common sense. How does it defy logic?
By the way one thing I've learned since being here is it doesnt matter what links I post or articles I use to back up my statements, people such as yourself have a one track mind and see the world as balck and white, ignorance is bliss I suppose, sometimes I wish I could be like you Carter, life would be easier.Quote:

Life would be easier, but you'd be a whole lot dumber too. Is it worth it, really?Quote:

I asked you to back yourself up on that. There's nothing wrong with that and nor did you post a link about it.Quote:

And I'm still waiting for your justification on your calumniation of my common sense.
