Hmmmm, what does Humper Dumper have to say about this?
Quote:
From the New York Times: "The area immediately around the Palestine Hotel was being used as firing positions, with the Iraqi forces apparently betting that they would receive no return fire because most foreign journalists still in the capital live there."
From the CNN link:The U.S. Central Command said that in both cases U.S. forces came under "significant enemy fire" from the buildings and responded "consistent with the inherent right of self-defense." Officials denied journalists were targeted.
Nothing new here, thats been the US military line ever since the incidents took place, same with Stones quote.
All reports from journalists who actually are/were there tough say that that was not the case.
All you guys are doing is providing new links stating the millitary claims wich ive actually linked to myself as well, changes nothing from the fact that those journalist actually there say that its simply not true.
And you don't think there's a conflict of interest when Reuters, BBC, and Al Jazeera are reporting on events that actually involved their own reporters?
You know id actually trust media that was actually there over those that report the US millitary claims as if it were fact while being far far away from where it actually happened.
CNN nor NYT were witnes to what happened and reports from the scene including the footage I linked contradict what the US claims yet CNN doesnt find it even necesarry to report on the fact that those who were there claim otherwise.
Towing the government line, no questions asked.
I would actually trust the soldiers on the ground who are being shot and killed by snipers. They were there too remember? :confused:Quote:

Hmmmm, maybe that's too much to "assume"...
Not a single soldier involved has been interviewed or talked about this.
So you know what you can do with youre assumptions.
"your", Almaci. "youre" would be "you're", which would be "you are".
So, "your assumptions".
PREEMPTIVE: I'm not discounting your argument. I'm not saying anything about your argument. I'm just saying that you get "your" wrong all the time.
Well... CNN is a piece of shit capitalist American news organization that is an evil puppet for the President, while Al-Jazeera is an unblemished, perfect shining beacon of unbiased news journalism that our evil news organs would be wise to emulate...Quote:

So, no, no conflict of interest. American soldiers DELIBERATELY targeted innocent journalists just like they deliberately shot down that plane full of Iranian civilians.
OMFG!!11!1 PERSONAL ATTACKS!!!!1!Quote:

/sarcasm
To my knowledge, soldiers usually carry rifles into combat, not cameras.
Almaci, you are so good at posing questions to others. Now I've got one for you:
Do you honestly believe that the United States government ordered it's troops to intentionally attack and kill those reporters? Please don't change the subject, don't give me an Al-Jazeera link, just give me your opinion on this. If you refuse to answer then thats fine, I'm not demanding that you answer, I just want to know if you truely feel this way.
