This Tuesday, 3-25th is going to be the one year anniversary of the current incarnation of these boards.
It's been a fun year.
However, I was wondering when exactly the TNL Boards were founded, when were the GG! boards founded, and which day did the GG! board go down, prompting the exodus to TNL?

The TNL boards have been around in one incarnation or another since mid-1998.
Not sure about GameGo's boards, I think they started in 2001.
TNL was established in June 1998. GameGO the site came along March 2001 (March 3, I think, but I will check). The GG boards came along in May of that year, if I'm not mistaken, and died in - what? - October 2001?
Lemme go confirm.
GG was around, oh...April or so of 2001, after planning it for 4 months or so.
In any case, this is a great board so hopefully it's around for more time.
Any "game-focused" board that can keep a bitter, old-school non-gamer like me occupied for any amount of time is definitely excellent.

Looks like GameGO's main page it went up March 2, the boards went live on or slightly before May 13, and they went ka-boom for the last time on November 24 - all in 2001.
What a wild, wild ride!
Ten years from now, TNL should still be around.
This is easily my favorite forum. I wonder how long it'll be around...
I miss GameGo. Especially how I paid like eighteen bucks and never got my magazine OR free t-shirt. And then the boards stopped working. =(
