Well, I managed to sleep until 6:00 PM today completly missing work, and probably losing my job... but thats not the real reason I'm making this thread.
When I woke up my left eye wouldn't open... I had to go into the shower and run water over it for, like, five mins before I could open it.
Anyone ever had Pinkeye? Does it look like this?
I don't want to go to the doctor...

Not good man. That definitely looks like pink eye. Go to a doctor. Eye problems aren't something you should ever ignore if you want to keep your vision.

One of my roomies has had a similar problem a few times before in which he gidges his eye. Not really sure how, it always happens in his sleep, so we figure he just pokes himself while sleeping (which he has been seen doing, just not into his eye). He's usually unable to open his eye at first and has to keep the lights real dim until his eye heals, which generally takes a couple days.
But I've never seen pinkeye.
I have a condition known as Reiters Syndrome. Part of the symptoms is conjunctivitis (pink eye). However, in my case, the condition is chronic and has no cure, just treatment that doesn't work very well.
Get some antibiotics.
Go to the doctor. Don't go blind ;_;
Don't make me do a "STFU PINK EYE" image..
Unless you want to end up like me, go see an optometrist soon.

I've had it before, don't remember how I got it but it went away quick, can't remember if I saw a Doc.
I had pink eye a year or two back. I don't remember if I went to a doctor or not, but I got it in one eye, then after a few days that eye healed and the other one got it.

you should get some antibotics for the redeye. the doc will give you drops for it.
you can tell if you have pink eye, if you eye itches, its red, and when you sleep, your eyes are shut and you cant open it. not to mention, mucus (crusty stuff) on the eye.
I've never had pink eye, but thats fucking sick. You should go get some of that pink medicine that tastes like bugbblegum. Amoxycilin.
While we're on the topic, my eye sometimes went pink randomly it alternated too :lol:. Has anyone here ever burt an eye vesel? does it hurt much? if so than that's not what I had
I've burst blood vessles in my eyes before. It looks different than what I have now.
Yep, it's Satan all right. Only cure for that is to pull your eye out and burn it. Then pour holy water in the empty socket. Godspeed young man.
Ive had pink eye. It sucks. Highly contagious, it is. Go to doctor asap.
hrm.... pink eye... it can be caused by viruses, bacteria, allergens, and worst of all--STDS. sure you havent been to any $10 hookers lately?
go to the doc like.... now. he'll most likely give you some sort of ocular decongestiant or steriod. but he might also give you this Cromolyn shit. it didnt work for me, but it might for you.
in the meantime, put some frozen peas or something on your eye. numb the pain away.
That bubblegum stuff was great! But we had to hide it when my cousin started drinking it :(

Couple of years ago I had the same thing. It wasnt pink eye though, had the same symptoms and everything. I had to go to some kind of eye doctor for it. Originally I went to the emergency room and they gave me that shit for pink eye. Turned out it made it worse. Apparently I had bacteria growing on my cornea. That shit fucking sucked.

wow, you guys give pink eye that much credit? So your eyes a little itchy. I thought it was great. Got out of a week of work, got some extra time on some school projects, and it really didn't bother me that much. Just pick the crap off your eye in the morning.
How the hell can you lose your job over pink eye?

I dont think you got pink eye, you may have a minor infection, but i dont think its the "eye"....your eye would literally be shut close due to the crusty mucus that accumulated over night, you would have not been able to take that pic if it was the "eye"

Update: Went to the doc, got some drugs, it went away.
It was pink eye, and I don't know where the fuck I got it from.

From what I understand, its a very hearty virus, it can be transfered very easy..
Example...
Kid with pink eye rubs his eye, goes to the store and pushes the door open..
88mph goes to same store 10 minutes later, pushes door open in same place..then rubs his eye...a few hours of a favorable enviroment in his eye.....pink eye...

I've had pink eye before. It was when I was little, so I don't think I cared that much, and I don't really remember how it felt.
If it persists, definitely go see a doctor.
