Poor Joss. Every show he had going for him was cancelled just recently (besides Buffy. He literally walked on to the set one year and told them to shut it down).

When Buffy ended, I was tapped out and ready to send it off. When Firefly got the axe, I went into a state of denial so huge it may very well cause a movie. But Angel... we really were starting to feel like we were on top, hitting our stride -- and then we strode right into the Pit of Snakes ’n’ Lava. I’m so into these characters, these actors, the situations we’re building... you wanna know how I feel? Watch the first act of "The Body."
As far as TV movies or whatever, I’m not thinking that far ahead. I actually hope my actors and writers are all too busy. We always planned this season finale to be a great capper to the season and the show in general. (And a great platform for a new season, of course.) We’ll proceed ahead as planned.
I’ve never made mainstream TV very well. I like surprises, and TV isn’t about surprises, unless the surprise is who gets voted off of something. I’ve been lucky to sneak this strange, strange show over the airwaves for as long as I have. I don’t FEEL lucky, but I understand that I am.
Thanks all for your support, your community, and your perfectly sane devotion. It’s meant a lot. I regret nothing (except the string of grisley murders in the 80’s -- what was THAT all about?) Remember the words of the poet:

And the petition is up to 11,000 sigs. not too bad for being up around 2 days.
I wish they'd give it one last season and let them build the show up to run its course.
He should get on the horn right now and start up some deals with other networks.
Or maybe finish the Angel show through DVD releases.
It sucks that WB is following Fox into retardation of cancellations.
Then again, maybe Joss will start a new show. With Spike?
There was talk about a Giles spinoff a while back called Ripper. It was going to air on the BBC over in England and be shown on BBCA here. I'd like to see a show centered around Oz after he left Sunnydale.
I heard that there is an Angel movie being talked about. This movie will supposedly end everything in the Buffy universe once and for all.
Yet at the same time, if they can't get SMG, then they better not even consider it. You can't switch your main character for something like that. It's just not right to us fans.
If she doesn't want to do it, then fine (she should consider it atleast, it is her only successful role) but don't cast someone else.
