Ha. But the list is there just to show what I meant by the colors (for the two people reading this thread who aren't familiar with VJ Army), not to show off. And my AAA is in literally the easiest song ever, so it's not like anyone would actually be impressed anyway.

Apparently Konami trademarked the game "Guitar Revolution" about a week ago. Take it with a grain of salt, but since the success of Guitar Hero I wouldn't be surprised if Konami tried to get in on the action.
MTV still owns the rights to drum simulation games, so a Drummania release here is pretty much a no-go.

Maybe because Taiko Drum Master is a taiko drum set whereas Drummania is a "traditional" drum set? I dunno.

Would I be insane to say I think I've had more fun with IIDX the last few months than any other game, except maybe competitive Street Fighter II in the arcades back in the day?
And the riding the bike thing doesn't seem to apply to me. I was working a lot of overtime and didn't play for a few weeks. When I came back, my scores suffered severely. Like up to 200 EX points off in some songs. After several nights of playing in a row, I'm only now about back to where I was. Although, a couple songs I was able to pass are mysteriously still WAY out of reach. Like LOVE IS DREAMINESS, I haven't even come close to clearing the last ten times I've played it, finishing with a 2% gauge, and yet, I somehow beat it about a month ago. How can my skills fluctuate so drastically? Rising high enough to get 80% one night, but then sinking to where I can't get above 2% any other night? Strange. Maybe I had lots of extra caffeine that day? There must be a scientific explanation...

When I took IIDX to school, I wasn't playing nearly as well as I was at home simply because I didn't have the controller at the exact height I had it at home.

so, I picked up a used US iidx controller for 8$ and started playing happy sky. Any and all "skill" I had previously is just... gone :( last mix I played on was 6th home so it's been quite a while.

It really seems like people take home scores more seriously than arcade scores ever since the XP switch. Then again, I don't know how much the lag has improved since 9th AC.

I honestly don't know. I don't think it's the genres that I mind so much, but I think I just burned out on the music in the series for a while. They haven't liscensed music since, like, 7th, right? There are a decent amount of artists in Konami's little pool, but I guess I want more outside of that, like it was circa 6th and 7th Styles. 11th was definitely the best musically since then, though.Quote:

They had a few licensed songs in IIDX RED, but they were all Avex Eurobeat tracks. Then there are the couple of 'psuedo-licensed' songs (Horizon was one of them; it's a remix from some I've album that Kors K did) that the game doesn't acknolwedge in-game.Quote:

The console versions have messed with longer songs: Erasormotor Phantom and Inori on IIDX RED CS were over 2:30 in length. Now if I had to play Erasormotor Phantom [A] for 3-4 minutes, I think my fingers would fall off.

Finally started 9th Style last week. What do you guys use to upload your save files to your PC, so that you can put the scores into that program that will update VJ Army for ya? I heard about this CodeBreakers thing for PS2. Is that my best bet?
I used to have a DexDrive for my PS1. That would be perfect if they made something similar for PS2. Not sure CodeBreakers is it, though...

I think Tain was the one who pointed me to the program that will extract the pertinent info from a save file. But what's the best way of getting that save file onto my PC in the first place? That's what I'm wondering. I'll prolly just get this CodeBreakers thingy and see how it goes.
