after the "@" with the bit
before the "@". When you click on
http://www.cnn.com@cgrom.com/news/la...er/index.shtml , you're going to
http://cgrom.com/news/law/gatesmurder/index.shtml . If the page were password protected, your browser would try to login with the username "www.cnn.com". "username:password@
www.blah.com" is the normal form for this kind of authentication.
