Exclusive: Secret Character in Soul Calibur 2 Revealed
While several secret characters in Soul Calibur 2 have been revealed by other sources, there is one that has yet to be touched upon. Luckily our source in Japan has given us the heads up on this secret character, and how to unlock her. For those not in the know, the last secret character in the game is KOS-MOS from Namco's own Xenosaga.
Wanna know how to unlock her? It's pretty simple actually, although it will take a long time to do so. The first thing you need to do is reach level 99 in Weapon Master Mode. This is definitely the hardest part of unlocking KOS-MOS, since once you reach level 75, your experience points in Weapon Master Mode drop off significantly. However with dedicated playing you can achieve it in one or two days.
After that you'll have to go and play through Arcade mode with every character. The difficulty doesn't matter here. In fact, you can put the game on the easiest setting and set the rounds to 1. This second portion should only take you an hour or so, it's really easy.
Once you have cleared the game with each character, go back to Weapon Master Mode. Go to the shop (it doesn't matter where you are on the map) and scroll down to the very bottom. You'll see an item that's worth $60,000, purchase it (or revisit chapters to get the money first). After that, to select KOS-MOS in any mode simply highlight Xianghua's character portrait and then hold the R trigger (R1 for PS1) while selecting her. Xianghua will be replaced with KOS-MOS once you have selected her.
