I like his white painted news-man skit the most.
I hate the crack-head one.

The intervention one was funny, but the rest are crappy. Real Real World gave me a chuckle. I would say that in overall his show is just as painful to watch sometimes as Larry David's Curb Your Inthusiasm. I know I'm comparing apples and oranges, but they do share some similarities. I like humor with a lot of depth and thought behind it. Like Futurama, written by a computer scientist, mucho depth. I'd watch it if I could figure out it's schedule. When you're writing something in haste, you'll never produce anything provocative. You might however produce something shocking and mildly entertaining. Case in point, SNL and most of the humor nowadays.Quote:

Ehh, but that's just my opinion. In a movie theater, I am usually the guy that's laughing at stuff that no-one else laughs at or laugh at 5 mins later when they get to the punchline.
I thought the skit where he was talking to the kids (the crack head) was one of the funniest things ever. Well, not really, but it was damn funny.
And his stand-ups are some of the best I've ever seen. So overall I think he's a really funny guy.
Yeah, comedy with depth is good (Futurama, though? You can't cite a better example? ;)) but sometimes brainless, silly stuff can be great as well. This is not to say that Chapelle's humor is brainless; just trying to make a point.
I mentioned Futurama because it doesn't rank high on the shit-o-meter. The few funny moments that it has more than make up for a thousand braindead ones. Which makes that cartoon better than most. I just feel that people are not exploring humor as well as they should have by now and are mostly relying on shocking the audience with racial stereotypes or other "taboo" subjects, be they funny or not.
I like humorous situations that I can actually consider telling someone else without thinking that I sound stupid.
I do think that Dave is probably the best stand-up comic and an excellent story-teller. But, he wrote his own stand up material, never stole from anyone. That takes an enourmous amount of research and time. You can't put the same energy into a weekly show, or even a daily one for that matter. That being said, the Daily Show is probably the best at putting a humorous spin on daily events.
"Pee on you"
Funniest thing ive seen in a while.
