I have been playing Morrowind recently and I'm liking it a lot but I can see why people complained about the combat sucking.
Was Daggerfall's combat more fun than Morrowind? I apologize if this came up in the past Morrowind threads but I couldn't find any Daggerfall comparisons.
No, not really.
Havent played Daggerfall, but the combat in Morrowind gets alot better as your levels and skills go up and you get fun weapons like the paralyze sword.
Yeah, it's becoming more fun as I get stronger. It's weird, Morrowind is such a snail-paced game yet it makes me want to keep playing.
Combat in Daggerfall was like the 'simple' version of combat in Morrowind, that is where you set it to pick the strongest attack. In Arena, they added moving the mouse in different directions would result in different attacks... but I still think this is pretty lame, personally.
Combat in all the Elder Scrolls games has been the same crap. Morrowind was the best of the bunch but it still sucked. And Ammadeau... I believe you mixed them up. Arena was the first game and it was really simple slash slash slash. Daggerfall added in the mouse movement that was really annoying. But I could be wrong.
No, Daggerfall was the first and Arena was the second for sure, but the mouse movement could have been in Daggerfall and I'm just not remembering it being there. Both styles are lame anyway so it doesn't really matter.
Arena came out in 1993, I believe. That's three years before Daggerfall.
Arena did not come out after Daggerfall.
