Homey the Clown: The Movie
From Dark Horizons:
"Homey The Clown: FilmJerk reports that Damon and Keenan Ivory Wayans will begin production this May on a feature based on the classic sketch from the early 90's sketch show "In Living Color". No its not 'Men on Film' or 'The Wrath of Farrakhan', rather its Herman Simpson - aka. Homey The Clown, the ex-con turned kids entertainer will hit the big screen in 2004. Shooting begins in May in Los Angeles on the Fox production, and the story follows "Homey as he takes a job at the City of Angels Children Center, an inner city children's shelter, run by the beautiful Denise Parsons. Homey’s nemesis, The Man, will take physical form in D.A. Mann, a self-serving, smarmy district attorney currently running for Mayor. It was Mann who helped Homey get this job working at the shelter and promised major funding for the center to Denise, but Mann is far more interested in raising his polling than he is in the children's welfare, and threatens to cut off the funding when he realizes he’s just not getting enough good spin out of the announcement. Will Homey be able to save the Center and get Denise to fall in love with him?". Thanks to 'Edward'."
Kinda wonder how well it'll do stretched out as a movie, but I'm interested.
