Well, a September release, or any release that allows AIA to fine-tune the translation/gameplay, is a good thing. The game has gotten a ton of flak in reviews due to the incomplete translation in the "reviewable" version of the game. Although I am wary of the mag stating that the game was originally slated for an August 7 release, when the original release date was sometime in may. Either way, the more time this game gets for fine-tuning, the better. Lucas, thanks a bunch for the info.

There is a new-ish review of the game up at http://www.digitpress.com/reviews/rentahero.htm
This is probably the best review of the game that I've seen, although I don't know how complete the version of the copy of the game being reviewed is.

Well, I now have my Xbox, with Shenmue II to keep me busy until then :) Now, if only I could play other DC games on this black box :D

Awesome. I'll download it later, as it is 18 MB.

Read GMRs bashing of it.... 4 out of 10... seems all the "quirkiness" is what they bash it on, and that's exactly why I want it. Oh well.
-
Don't forget the entire paragraph spent on bashing it for only enabling d-pad control, among other entertaining reasons.

Just got done watching the trailer, and converting it into an MPEG, and holy crap does the game look like fun. The fighting system looks really smooth, and the tasks seem oddball-ish, which is a good thing.
-
That trailer definitely makes me want it even more, which wasn't needed :) As for D-Pad control, isn't that how Shenmue is?
-
Yup. I love that control system, and apparantly, so does Yu Suzuki. I didn't see anyone really bitch about not being able to use analog control for the Shenmue games, so I don't know why folks bashed this game endlessly for it.
