I don't know, and don't care one little bit.
I know a bit.
The baath party was started off by some christian arabs in lebanon trying to start off a second arab revolution. It's a secular party that aims to seek the best for the arab race.
the syrian one is more democraitc than saddams right?
Yah more or less.
It was started by a a greek Orthodox Christian and called for a semi secular united and progresive Arab world.
It called on for equality between men and woman on religious grounds(on the grounds of the Sharia) and the belief that a real Muslim country under real muslim rules provides for equality between gender, races and religion.
The belief that its easier for a Christian or a jew to practice his/her religion under a Muslim country that does not interfere with the way they believe then it is in a predominantly christian country like the US for instance were several institutions tell people how they should live and believe.
Sorta like the majority of Muslims who live in countries that are not pre dominantly Muslim believe that they are free to practise their religion the way they feel is right instead of having a central government or clerical institutions telling them how and what to believe and practise.
Saddam seriously fucked up the ideology for personal gain after the first gulf war in order to remain and consolidate his power after the war.
Before that Christians and Jews in Iraq were equels to Muslims( Tareq Aziz the deputy prime minister under saddam for instance is a Christian)
The jury is still out on Syria and their use of the ideology.
That being said the core Baath ideology is quite strong amongst a lot of Arabs(believing in the ideology means in no way shape or form that you support Saddam) of all religions.
Off course you dont, God forbid you might actually start to understand why certain things happen.Quote:

Cant have that, no sir you rather wait till something gets so bad and horrible(ussualy with the aid of youre government) and then call for war and a nice spectacle of fireworks.
88, you need to learn to open your horizons and your mind to new and different ideas and expand yourself.Quote:

We have been over this before. Don't attempt to drag me into one of your boring ass circular arguments.
