Okay, this may seem like a silly question, but I mostly buy stuff, I rarely sell it. So I'm getting a big fat money order in the mail next week, how do I cash it? Just take it to the bank and deposit it like a check or what?

If it's a postal MO, you can cash it at the PO with an ID. If it's from a bank, you'll need an account to cash it (I think).
Both are correct.
Cool. I'll just have to take it by the post office then. Hopefully I won't get mugged on the way out.
how big is this money order?
and on another note, where is Burlington? :D
Well, it's enough to help get my ass out of debt...
Would you like to contribute to the make Gohan not poor fund?
:mega:
How much ya need?
Eh... I need about 900 clams to get out of immediate debt, 4500 would totally get me out.
Cash it at a bank, you can cash Postal MO's there too, and put it in your account to be safe.
900-4500? Hot damn...
O you can go to a check cashing place to get it cashed if you need the cash quick. Bad thing is that they take a certain amount..depending on the amount on the MO.
If you go to PO to cash your Postal Money Order, you'll need 2 forms of ID.
Really? I only ever needed one.
Me 2.
I'm in NY. I would think that most would ask for 2. All POs by me ask for 2. I show them my drivers license and my credit card, which has my picture on it. They take down my driver license number and the last 4 numbers of my credit card along with exp date and write it on the back of the MO.Quote:

tisk, tisk, tisk.
No, I bought a car that cost 4500. The bank would only give me 3500 for it, since the Kelly blue book value is like 3300 or something like that. So I had to beg and borrow 900 bucks so that I could get it. The car cost that much over blue book because it had a brand new engine, rebuilt trans, and a new paint job. I love it..but dizayam, I be broke. I have to pay the 900 bucks quick, but the bank loan is only 100 a month.
Probably would've been better to finance a new car. :(Quote:

I thought I was in serious debt, but damn. Mine's probably worse since I owe it to Dell, Student Loan Services, and a few hundred to Kohl's. Heh.
