Piercings

I know some of you guys and girls on here are pierced. Me, never done it. I have always thought it was cool, just not for me. Now I have been thinking about it more and more. I am allready pretty sure that I want a tattoo, I allready have an idea about what I want and where, but I dont see myself doing that for a while because it will be a big job.

Piercings are a bit cheaper, plus not nearly as permanent. I am really having trouble figuring out what I want to get pierced first. I have quite a few options. I want to get a horizontal barbell eyebrow piercing, a 6 gauge standard lobe, some cartilidge piercings on my side and an industrial. Yeah, that is a lot, but it is not something I will do at once, more of a project and options. Just not sure where to start. I also kind of want to get my lip pierced on the side, but I am not sure about that. Which should I do first?

I dont think its cool. Its cool if your a tatoo artist or in a band, kind of proves your credibility, otherwise, forget about it. And if you do do it, dont overdo it, pierce your eybrow or something. I cant remeber the last time I saw a dude with pierced ears....

Every quarter, freshmen show up and get pierced/tatooed within their first week here. It's funny. :lol:

Yeah, I am against needless piercings and tattoos. People that do them just for the hell of it and cause it is cool...are not cool. I want to do it for myself. It is something I have always admired and no better way to show your admiration.

As far as being able to get away w/ it in the real world, I am still in college. I can experment all I want, and I am pretty sure my summer job will be cool about it.

And I will never get anything pierced below my neck.

I have my tongue pierced. Its pretty cool.

I had my tongue pierced for about five years then removed it because it was receeding my gums.
I have my lip pierced, and I have a rack of tattoos.

However, I am a rockstar... so its almost required.

I also have a killer receeding hairline. :)

Bitches do like that shit, especially those chicks you see on MTV and girls gone wild.

Maybe it is just my confidence, but I would be too worried about what people would think if I had my tongue pierced, especially if it was just my tongue that was pierced.

They'd think "Hey, that guy has his tongue pierced."

I have my Treg's pierced (ear nubbins as I used to call em) didn't hurt none too badly when I got em, and didn't get an infection either, I love them dearly.

I wanna get a Viper (Venoms? Is there a difference?) tongue piercing or my Rook's done next, to go along with my Treg's.

As for tattoo's maybe something on the back of my calf or something that could be out of the way, yet noticable.

All I have is one 16ga titanium captive bead and one 18ga titanium stud in each ear. Soon I plan on getting my labret done, then an industrial in one ear... Maybe a septum piercing in the future as well.

when I was 7 I got my ears pierced. I rarely wear earings or any other kind of jewelery. The holes never closed up though. doubt they will. I'll never get any tatoos or piercings because I have this weird thing where sometimes my scar tissue over develops... so lets say I get a tatoo... it heals over and this huge lump of scar tissue forms over it. yay? big lump of pink skin? who looks like a burn victim?

I saw a guy get his nipple pierced...what was funny was that his girl begged him to get it cuz it looked "sexy" and that she'll be there for him. His response was, "who will be there for them?". After he decided, she said "no, dont get it..im scared". Well, he went for it anyways. It was pretty cool seeing a guy get his nipple pierced, but he wasnt man enough to get the second one done.

I'm not stopping her ;). She decided either the nipples or south of the border. But I guess she'll go for the northern part first. The southern part later on.

Damn. The guy who got his didnt complain. All he said was "Dont touch me!" to his girl. I asked him how it feels, and his response was "first its a burning sensation, but after awhile, its kinda tingling." He tried putting on his sweater, but was afraid his shirt would get caught plus I think he was kinda sore.

I used to work at a tattoo shop in Orlando, so I've pretty much seen it all as far as piercings go. I used to have a fuckin' face full of metal but most has been taken out. ( Both eyebrows, 7/16g lobes, back of my neck, arms, labret, treg's, belly button, calfs... some just for fun and a day, some for a while) Now, I just have 0g lobes a whole load of tattoos, and 2 scarifications.

I'd say if you're worried about what people are going to think about you, I'd suggest not getting anything done.

Even if it's something as simple as a peirced ear, people are going to think differently about you.

Nothing pierced, and nothing's gonna be pierced. It's just not me. Tatoos are cool, though, but I don't have any. I would consider getting one, but I don't think I could cover up one inch of this beautiful body. :D

Neh, I am not really worried about what people think about me all that much. That has never mattered to me that much, but that thought would pass my mind if I got my tongue pierced. Dont want to get it pierced anyway, so it is not an issue.

Back in High School I had 3 in my left ear and one in my right, they are all closed up now, and I doubt I'll pierce them again.

Hmm...no desire whatsoever to pierce anything. I'm very active and engage in alot of contact sports/martial arts, in which case most piercings are just asking to be ripped out. -and those punkers with the eyebrow pierings are just asking for a palm strike to the brow...

I find the idea of sticking needles, hooks, rings, posts and other objects through my flesh to be incredibly repugnant. Injecting ink into several layers of my flesh is a close second on the "no desire whatsoever" scale.

People can stick themselves however they please, but it ain't for me.

Easy, turbo. If you're talking about the pennington forceps / clamps hurting when they were used on your ear, then the piercer was doing something wrong, that's all.

Yeah, those are the ones, they put like a rubber band around the tips so they would stay clamped while they put the needle(?) through each Treg.

So if I've had the treg piercings for just over a year and nothing too terrible has happened yet (right one looks like it migrated like a millimeter) is it safe or is there always going to be a hidden danger so to speak.

Ah, I was unaware rubber bands were used as well. That would certainly explain the pain. Disregard everything I've said.

I had my eyebrow pierced. Unfortunatelty it got infected and my eye swelled shut - bah.

Just don't forget someday you need to get a real job, and start a real life. Unless of course you are incredibly talented at the guitar or drums or something, or of course if you are going to be a porn star. Otherwise have fun covering up your mark of individuality while you sit in for an interview.

Welp, my girl wont be getting them pierced. Reason why is because she wont be able to breast feed. I dont know if piercing the nipples will impair them permanently or what. O well...:confused:

Many piercings you can take out and you'll look the same.

While tats lose color and sag/deform with your skin as you get older.

I'm gonna get it all filled in eventually, but I can't really afford it right now.

The bottom star looks fucked up... it isn't. I just didn't want to scrub all the ink splashes off. That shit hurts...
