They became boring. It's pretty sad that Japanese developers are forced to milk even remotely successful franchise, and Climax will probably meet a fate similar to Compile's.
ha. they called it "Randstalker" in the directory name.
anyways, anyone feel like giving me a comparison of Landstalker to Ladystalker?
/me dreams about Landstalker 2

It was called LadyStalker (great title, I know). Good stuff.
It's never going to happen. I read an interview with the creator in Gamers Republic and they asked him specifically if he would ever make Landstalker 2 and he flat out said no. I have Ladystalker and it's ok. The perspective is the same but the combat is weak. Kind of like a primative Vagrant Story combat engine but it's nowhere near as cool. You get locked into an area until all of the blobs(or whatever other enemy is there)are gone. It is a let down. I never finished it. I think I'll get back to it one day but it is by no means comparable, or a direct sequel to Landstalker.Quote:

LadyStalker is weak compared to LandStalker. Has somewhat of a language barrier, too.
I know all about Ladystalker and I know all about how they feel about not making Landstalker 2. I also know how some people say Dark Savior is a pseudo-sequel (and I own it). I also know that Alundra is supposed to be great....
... but I can still dream about Landstalker 2. :p:p:p
I never said it was realistic. I loved the first game very much. :)
I remember playing LandStalker because the Sega tech support rep told me to. Back then they had an 800 number with real people and you could call them like... if you just got stuck in a game and shit. After Sega Visions was no longer free on request (you had to send in a card that came with the game) he told me he'd give me a subscription anyway if I promised to play LandStalker.
