I've used it. Played some 32x games, and they ran very well. I tried Space Adventure Cobra and the picture wasn't aligned properly on the screen. Not sure if that's a problem with all Sega CD games, since that's the only one I tried. It's a very, very well done port, except for the inability to browse rom folders. The port of HuGo is great, too, and it seems to be updated often. Now if only MAME would get an update...

I'm curious - how does the Sega CD emulation work? Can you run the emu from a CD-RW and swap in disks, or does GenS have to be on the HD?

wait 32x games run well? is there sound cause the current 32x emus for pc dont run very well.

32X games don't even run well on an actual 32X. ;)

Has anyone ever played 32X games with just the Genesis video hooked up to your TV? Or with just the 32X video? It's quite freaky.

I remember with Knuckles Chaotix, the Genesis rendered the backgrounds, rings, audio and maybe the bungee cord sparklies, while all the 32X did was render the characters -- mainly due to the scaling effects used on them. What a lame waste of hardware.

Yes, I remember playing knuckles chaotix with the 32x video off. It scared the shit out of me because I realized that the genesis was doing 90% of the shit on screen and I paid 150 bucks for the 32x.


The new genesis/scd/32x emulator runs fine, but i havent tried 32x games with it.

I've been playing a lot with hugo. It's very good and I got a hold of rondo of blood and spriggan. After playing both of them it's convinced me to get a duo.
