I've had mixed results with Game Doctor. On one disc that didn't work for like one stage of the game the GD pretty much ruined the game for some reason. But it's completely fixed destroyed discs before too. It seems to be game sensitive or something. My EBs Disc Doctor a lot of their PSX games before selling them, it's kind of a good thing, but I don't like the way they look damaged afterwards.

is really a buff job, not a resurfacing exactly. The clerk showed me a scratched CD and in a matter of seconds it was flawless. Just out of curiousity would anyone buy games if they had been buffed to new conditon? Only asking cuz some folk have said that if a game has been game doctored or whatever without revealing it, that is a bad business practice. So now I can make my scratched rare games like new again for a buck a piece! Any thoughts? Hopefuly TNL Trade Depot will benifit once I bring some CDs to be repaired!

call for directions, it's off of 98th street I believe but I'm not good with things like that. The store is great! I'm prety sure if you are buying one of their games and it is scratched they will buff it for free. At least they did it last time.
There's this independent game store around Chao and I, Games USA. Sells some nice imports and whatnot. But besides that, whenever you buy a used game, they resurface it for you for free. They put it into some machine in the corner (pretty big) and 10 minutes later, you get your disc, brand spanking new looking. They also do it as a service, 7 bucks a disc I think. If it doesn't work they refund you the money. Nice guys.
Hmm $7 bucks seems a tad high but if it is a rare scratched
game you could sell it in like new condition.
Aren't there high-end services that you send damaged discs to? I know that sometimes, the plastic side of CDs can be replaced...
I think so, but then you have to pay postage and you can't
get to watch them do it. It's more ideal to find someone
in your area that can do it for you.
