Seriously, most people I have run across should stay away from indulging multiple sex partners at the same time. However, if you have three people who enjoy sex and have mature attitudes about their bodies and their emotions and see sex as pleasure as opposed to conquest, there's no reason to automatically write it off. All parties should be honest with themselves and respectful of everyone's feelings. I separate sex from emotion, but my wife sees them as intertwined, so I have no overriding desire to bring someone else in. She plays around with the idea and drops little hints, but I know she would see bringing a third person in as a betrayal of trust and intimacy, so I never pursue it.
Simply put, if my wife would have a problem with it, I am not interested. Just like if my wife had a religious objection to pork, I would not cook bacon in the morning and try to sell her on the aroma.
Three-ways have been big among a certain group of my acquaintances since they were teens, and I have always refused to be a participant - much like I have refused to smoke marijuana. Always, always place logic above what your penis or your peers tell you feels good.
