My Parents Don't care.
My Mom is a Puzzle game fiend.
My dad dosent play at all but understands my obsession because he collects DVD movies.
They just hate when I freak out over losing.
My sister plays occasionally, but wonders why I spend so much money on games.
The girl I'm currently seeing seems to like boxing games.
Parents never really liked them all that much, although it's their fault I got hooked when they too me to Aladdin's Castle as a wee-guy, where I'd stand on my stool and feed quarters to dig-dug, Pac-man, and centipede.
My Aunt bought me an NES on christmas, which was my first console...however, my parents would never buy me or let me buy a game...I could only rent them every weekend. Growing up, I fought a relentless battle to play the games I wanted...so, if I wanted SF2, I first have to break it in with Clayfighter, then move up to TMNT fighters, and then finally SF2. I was usually restricted to something like 3 hours a week.
Now, no one really cares, although my g/f and brother both like games quite a bit. Unfortunately, my g/f is only good at DDR and Puzzle Fighter, but enjoys playing fighters, even if she won't learn to really play them. She doesn't mind my hobby though, and usually likes to watch.

Same here. I must've owned like 7 NES games total. More often than not, renting a game over and over was pretty much my only hope. I understand where they were coming from though, cuz video games were pretty expensive, and my parents weren't exactly the wealthiest people on the block.Quote:

I still remember being in Toys R' Us one day and having my mom spontaneously tell me that I could get a video game. Oh joyous day!

My parents bought us an Atari 2600(VCS) thinking it would keep me from spending money in the arcades. My dad enjoyed quite a few games and even bought a Pinball machine.
My wife tolerates my gaming hobby, but whenever she's argueing with me, she always tries to dog on it. She still buys me games for birthdays and Christmas though. She even let me use our income tax return, to purchase a new P.C.
My Dad loves rpgs and Shooters, anything except platformers that involve jumping (his astigmatism makes it hard for him to gauge pixel length I guess). My mom likes classic games, puzzle games and shooters. My parents turned my sisters and I into gamers. My mom bought my dad an Atari 7800 for christmas and we as a family had high score contest and marathon shooting fest in centipede and defender. My older sister and I had to fight over video game time until I was in Junior High and got my own TV and my very first councel, the SNES. I then either received as a gift of bought my own of every major councel released therafter.
Now my fiance is who I have to contend with for game time. I went to the bathroom for a couple minutes while in a Wind Waker playing session and returned to find my finace had taken my controller to go sailing around. It took me an hour and a half to get it back only after she sailed to all the islands, and blew up a shark with the cannon. My brother in law is having a similarly hard time with my sister bogarding it at their house. Apperantly women enjoy sailing in the Wind Waker.

My wife likes to watch some games or even notice some interesting parts in games. (like the voices in Cho Aniki). It was because of her that I was able to get all of my auction stuff (including my two cabinets). She doesn't care too much for games, but she's cool with it. Ironically, one of her friends is the co-owner of a PCB shop. A close friend is also into games and his wife doesn't care too much for games either (yet she bought him an expensive PCB.) It's funny to see his wife and my wife try to clown us in Japanese. Pure drama.:lol:
My dad plays games a bit, but he still thinks I like them too much, as does my little sister, but that's mostly as a result of being really fucking bored when I go home. I don't ordinarily play that much. My mom has no idea. Girlfreinds/female freinds have never cared because I don't really talk about it to them. They know I play but I don't bore them with the details.
