I'm referring to the small circuit board looking stickers that, when affixed underneath the battery, supposedly improve cellphone signals. Like the ones at http://www.antennabooster.net/ although it's easy to find them cheaper on eBay.

Anybody have any experience with or insight on this thing? Cellphone bitchers need not reply.

I had 2 of these. I tried one of it...it never worked for me.
My friend tried the second one, and in my house he would get 1 bar...with the antenna booster, he got 2-3 bars.
Go figure. If I can get another cheap one, i'll try it on my Nokia 7250

Also, my old EB manager bought one from a Sprint store, and put it on his Sprint phone, and it worked. Before he bought it, the phone wouldnt work because we were on the lower level and anyone barely had reception. Except for maybe Nextel's. He bought the booster, and his phone was able to get reception all the way back into the stock room. No phone could get reception back there. And might I remind you, his was a Sprint phone..I heard that Sprint are pretty bad when it comes to reception.
A) Its the placebo effect. If you are into that sort of thing, this internal antennae works great.
B) If it actually worked, they would build it into the goddamn phone.
If you really want one, go to a bargain store and buy them for 25 cents a peice by the bucketload.

I worked cell phone sales.
THEY ARE STICKERS!! That can be had for $.25 cents on some sites. Yet we sold them for $20.....
I could see them working, but not well. I assume that they've got a thin layer of copper inside them, which would amplify the signal from the antenna slightly. I'd say they work on the same principal of an antenna in a clock radio, but on a very miniaturized scale.
Just being a piece of copper doesnt create any amplification...
Anyways, being in this industry, Ill use my standard line here.
