I always loved Crazy Climber in the arcades. I remember reading a while back about a version on the Saturn and PSX that had the arcade original and a new one. I've had a hard time tracking it down for either system. Any clue where they can be found?

Nichibutsu Arcade Classics. The new one on it is the 1985 remake.

I have no idea where to buy it though.
Dunno about the Saturn version, but here's the PSX one on ebay.Quote:

If this comp had Armed Formation F, I'd be all over it.
Crazy Climber was also re-released by itself on Hamster's "arcade classics" budget label for 1500 yen. So, if you don't want the rest of the Nichibutsu games, that might be an option.
The X68000 version is quite nice as its the only home conversion of Crazy Climber 2. Hyper Crazy Climber and Crazy Climber 2000 were released on the PSX and are quite nice, but much harder than the original. I am working on my own dedicated controller for my PSX crazy climbers and the parts cost is very low (<$35) Playing with sticks makes it much more enjoyable, and you even get a little workout ;)
