Sonic Heroes

I was critical of this game until I downloaded the gameplay footage, which won me over in a big way.

Don't think "Sonic Adventure" at all, because the game doesn't seem to move like that at all. The speed seems a bit toned down (thankfully IMO) from the SA games, and there seems to be more gameplay/interaction in each litle area & scene. I LOL'd at the go-cart, with Knuckles driving, Tails on top with his Rotors going, and Sonic at the back as the 'wheel' -- HAW HAW HAW I love it!

I think it looks radically cool how the 3 characters run, leap, pounce, and fall together, and then how Knuckles seems to throw Sonic as a linked ball at enemies. It's definitely NOT Knuckles Chaotix with its rubber-band inertia.

I also think Sonic Team has captured the look of the first stage from Sonic 1 perfectly in 3D.

I just watched the video, and it looks pretty damn cool. The whole 3 Person team is a pretty cool idea and could make for some interesting gameplay aspects. Its too bad that they thought Amy should have a place in the game, god I hate that bitch.

So Sonic Heroes, PSO ep3, and Billy Hatcher. It's about time Sonic Team did some new things to remind me why I love them.

I think the step back from speed was a big mistake, the reason I loved Sonic Adventure 1+2 was because they were fast. I just want the next to be faster, I would be happy with another Sonic Adventure with just Sonic levels like they had told everyone from the start. And I cant stand any of the Karts in any of the Sonic series.

I was kind of hoping that Heroes would use a completely different engine than the Adventure games, for the sake of freshness. This looks like SA3 whether the name says it or not. But since I loved the Sonic levels in the DC games, I'm definitely still looking forward to it.

I would much rather have a game that was slower, but you could actually control, than a game that has you hitting a super-speedy-things all the time only to have you running around loops n' such for ten seconds with very little control.

I think the speed will be there. The clip I saw used Knuckles as the main character most of the time, & I'm sure Sonic will be much faster. I don't think they would make a new Sonic game that wasn't faster than the last. That would be silly.

Chaotix had great characters. Better than Amy, Big, Cream, Rouge, etc.

Basking in their obscurity with Bark, and Bean the Dynamite, I assume.

Is that supposed to be Espio, or if not, what is the name of the Chaotix characters shown?
