All the article was is a picture of a monitor with a piece of paper over it with writing thats says "RARE , Conkers LB"
HURRAY! NEW CONKER is going to be shown!
meh...
Since no one bought the original Conker, it would be nice to have a graphically-updated release of the original.
Could Conker be the mascot that MS is looking for?
Is MS even looking for a mascot?
I'm not sure if they are looking for one... but they do need one. Blinx just doesn't cut it...
They already have a mascot...its that windows logo with the red green blue and yellow shadings in it. Just stick 2 arms and 2 legs on it and presto! I'm sure they can find a way to make a game with a "windows man" in it.
A mascot is alright. Conker isn't a good candidate, if not solely for the reason that Nintendo had it first with Rare.

I mean...fuck.
Alright. I'm a Nintendo guy, I'm pro-Nintendo. That doesn't mean I'm anti-X-box. The two are mutually exclusive ideas.
As soon as SpikeOut Extreme hits shelves, I'm buying one of those bitches (although Apex tempts me daily).
But this is seriously a bad idea. Conker was like the BEST platformer. And it's not like I'm all "oh, they'll screw it up, no! it won't work!" because it'll probably still be funny and what not...but I've played a Conker shooter in the multiplayer mode. It was fun, but nowhere near as fun as the 1 player mode!
They could invest more time into it and make it better, but WHY!?
I just don't understand, man. I hope they don't fuck this up.
A multiplayer focused action game? Could be fun but I'd much prefer a BFD type game.
Breath, Blaine, breath. Wait until you see some footage before you hyper-ventilate.
Like most of Rare's N64 games, Conker felt like a chore half the time. I do like the character and it had some funny moments.
The multiplayer focus of this new one does sound odd. The most entertaining parts of BFD were the jokes and how can you pull off many jokes in multiplayer form?
There was like 5 seconds of it during the press conference. That's it so far. They didn't even mention it being playable on the floor.
I liked what little I saw of it.
Can you hear me cumming?
I have to say I'm confused, but at the same time, I had a blast with the multiplayer modes in Conker BFD. If they can come with some original, fun stuff like they had before, bring it on.
Just noticed that MS' website, the game will have some single-player components as well, though they sound suspicously like the first game.
Thats what the game is probably gonna be - just like the first one.Quote:

I will give it a chance either way.
The first one was a blast in my opinion, one of the funniest sit down and watch someone else play games ever.
But that doesn't make it a great game, lets hope rare abandon's their "collection plate" formula for their Xbox games.
BFD will be included in the new Conker according to MS's fact sheet.

The new content should be a nice treat.
Multiplayer looks fun -
Again -
One more -
I lied -
Where's Delta with his "OMFG its teh kidE!!!!!!!!!1111"?
looks like the multiplayer in n64 which wasn't that fun. i think it was the crappy controls, but i forget why i disliked it.
It seems strange to me that Rare has the rights to re-release BFD.
I understand that they got the rights to make new Conker games, when they ended their relationship with Nintendo, but re-releasing a Nintendo published product is another story.
well i think it's a great idea for rare to put the original in with this game. the original bombed and it wasn't a bad game. rare is hoping this one will actually sell, but i have my doubts. looks a bit too kiddie for the xbox owners.
PBMax, I guess since they developed the game, and own the rights to the character, they retained the rights to BFD.
Not necessarily, Jeremy. Licensing for games is different then mascots. But I am willing to bet Nintendo gave it up, since they recieved so much money from Miscrosoft and BFD didn't sell as well as it should have.
Actually this is kinda strange but I do believe that Rare published Conker, as well as Jet Force Gemini and Perfect Dark. They have all the rights to all of those games, I believe.Quote:

They should at least add a co-op mode to the game. Maybe make the second player play as a retarded chipmunk or something. Think of the possibilities! Conker "Did you fucking fart?" Retarded chip "Yeah, yeah" Conker"How can you stand that?" Chip " ah I don't mind"
Props to the Akimbo Ninja swords at least.
I'll definately give it a shot but, I hope it isn't multiplayer focused.

There's a little more info on the game there and a couple of screens as well (I think PBMax posted them though).
Anyway, if you can't tell by my avatar, I'm pumped. I've been singing the praises of BFD's multiplayer for years now, and I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed how good those capture-the-flag matches were. Sure, I'd like another single-player platformer, but I put about 10-12 hours into the single-player mode in BFD and about 30-40 into the multiplayer. This should be fucking awesome, it'll be the game that finally forces me to buy a router and set up Live (I was already planning to do it for Halo 2, but still).
Those CTF matches in BFD were fun as hell... I remember playing for hours with my cousin. I didn't want a WHOLE GAME FULL of that though... but better this than nothing :). I'm happy that are including BFD in this game also :) That cements my purchase.
They should bring the big pile of crap back and make him the main enemy. That would be cool.
