Franchises you wouldn't mind being milked...
Sure, milking a successful franchise is almost always considered a bad thing, but I'm sure most of us have games that we wouldn't mind at all seeing this happen to. For clarification, milking a franchise, at least to me, just means making a sequel to a game with minimal changes to the core of the gameplay. Also, it doesn't count if the games go through a generational leap, for instance, milking of Super Mario Bros and milking of Mario 64 would count as two different things. That said, what are yours? Mine are:
Metal Gear Solid series on PS2: This is one franchise I really wouldn't mind a yearly incarnation of. The production values, direction, music and what not are all just of such high quality that playing through each with the same basic gameplay wouldn't bother me at all. Just take the MGS2 engine, throw it in a new story and environment each time, remix the themes some more, and keep making Snake such a badass (and no Raiden) and I'd be happy.
Shenmue series: I guess the games could stand for some technical improvements, but even without them, I would love a bunch more Shenmues. Have Ryo travel to new exotic and atmospheric areas each time, keep the exact same voice actors, give me more of the same style of wonderful music, and keep all of the quirkiness of the series and I'd be first in line for each one.

Isn't that what Konami has been doing since 1998? Sure, it took three years to get to Metal Gear 2 (and that was only in Japan) and eight more years for Metal Gear Solid, but after there hasn't been a year without a Metal Gear game (even if it just a simple port/enhancement over last year's title). Just take a look:
1998: Metal Gear Solid (PS1)
1999: Metal Gear Solid Integral/VR Missions/Special Missions (PS1, PC)
2000: Metal Gear (Solid): Ghost Babel (GBC)
2001: Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PS2)
2002: Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance (PS2, Xbox, PC)
2003: Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (GameCube)
2004: Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (PS2)
Noticed a pattern there? First we get the new installment (which is exclusive to the current PlayStation console), then the multi-platform enhanced version (Integral, Substance) a year later, followed by some Nintendo exclusive side-game (Ghost Babel, Twin Snakes) and then the next installment. Although the announcement of Metal Gear Online might just break the pattern.
Anyway, aside from what was already mentioned, I want Technos/Atlus to milk the Kunio and Double Dragon franchises as much as possible.
