I agree with them. Hearing the individual story of a mutated teenaged turtle who eats pizza and talks like a surfer is much more interesting than playing a beat em up with 3 friends.

I think one thread dedicated to your whining about the lack of multiplayer in the new TMNT games is enough.

He raises a valid point (Spike, not the guy being interviewed.) The game should focus on fun, not story. It's a TMNT game for Pete's sake, we, as gamers, don't expect high-concept melodrama for it. We do, however, expect something that will be fun, which this game should be. Just not as fun as it COULD be.

That quote says absolutely nothing about the lack of a 4-player game. It's about the single-player game and how it will be different for all four characters.

The 4-player mode has camera problems, just like the clips we've seen of the 2-player mode. So, yeah, it's not ready, might not be ready for release. Hopefully it won't distract from the gameplay.

You're grasping for straws. Please stop pressing the issue.

What the hell are you people complaining about? This sounds like a good idea to me -- 4 different stories, one for each character. This plus guarenteed 2-player co-op, possibly 4-player co-op (or did they rule it out completely at E3?), a versus mode... what do you want? The fricken Pope as a playable character? Please quit complaining and be happy you're getting a new TMNT game -- or try developing your own on such a short time frame...

I shed one tear for the soul of this game, now.

they should have worked on making this a new arcade title, then they'll have no excuse.

I seem to remember ALL of the previous TMNT beat em ups on home consoles being 2 player...I know with these newer consoles 4 players is much easier to do given the 4 controller ports and all but alot of people are acting like co op limited to only 2 players is like a step backwards. It's always been like that.

There is the single-player game, then there is the multiplayer game. Both will probably share some of the same elements.

you know something funny I just thought of? I remember how crappy the cpu 2nd player in final fight 3 was, but if it was ever turned into something that could really help as another player, 4 players with the cpu could have done just as well for those who don't give a flying fuck about multiplayer because they don't have friends around. I keep thinking something in the line of "team play", but then again, there's plenty of you who wouldn't care if this game has all it's options ripped out.

I usually play games with more than one person around, unless it's an RPG. Maybe I am over reacting, but it's just not what I look for in a turtle game. (Story over action)

no, but 2P is really enough for me. All of my memories of 4P TMNT in the arcade involved everyone else getting pissed at me for not dying. They said I wouldn't join in the fights and such, even though I'd be throwing myself in danger to get them to shut up~

Meh, i'll stick to Turtles in Time 4 player on my Xbox :p

Yeah, but that's what co-op play in this type of game is all about. Hey! You stole my health! You used one of my lives! That was my powerup! Etc.

ha, I suppose you're right. I was playing kunio tachi no banka with a friend a while ago, and after he kept screwing up the motorcycle levels, I snatched his controller away and told him he could have it back once he learned what the hell he was supposed to be doing. Good times.

I don't think it's a step backwards, so I can see people's issues with us complaining, but in today's day and age, there are less excuses for not doing it. I personally rarely play 2 player games, I either play alone when no one is around, or I have a lot of people over and we want something that's at LEAST 4 player. I'll probably still get it, but if it's only 2 player, I'll wait a bit.
