Come on. I'm not saying Wario wasn't final, but I've caught EGM on a few pre-final reviews. Like when you said Pinball of the Dead didn't have battery save, or when you reviewed Silpheed: TLP like 6 months before it came out. It has been known to happen.Quote:

what the hell is wrong with everyone for suggesting this? people were saying this in the GA thread too. in fact going so far as to suggest that EGM just made up the reviews based on never having played the game at all.
nintendo works on their games until the last minute in japan, maybe. but they are insanely anally retentive about giving out review copies to US press.
and in the US they usually have packaged retail copies of their games well before they hit release. i remember in the n64 days, we got a copy of majora's mask about 3 months before it hit stores. usually they have GBA final retail a month before release or so.
if nintendo gives the magazine something and asks them to review it, it's final code. they get their games in order well in advance of the ship date.
I can say im alot more excited about the new Vania after reading the EGM article
i dont knwo to me it sounds like the game is coming out very well
some of the shots bothered me with some of the texturing work but i put that blaime on the PS2s craptacular texturing abilities then on Konami right now
Every time EGM has done a review on an unfinished version of the game, they put a disclaimer on it. I remember this happening for Excitebike 64, where Nintendo sent them a copy of the game marked "reviewable" when it was missing the track creation feature. AIA Games recently did this to www.Game2Extreme.com, sending an 80% build of the game and marking it as "reviewable" when it was missing key parts of the translation.

You should watch the E3 edition of the crappass X-Play. They showed a bunch of cinemas and gameplay portions that weren't even in the E3 demo(Which was a pretty poor demo) that re-sparked my excitement for the game. Can't wait to read the new EGM article.
what is this X-play that you speak of

TechTV's Extended Play with a new title and tons more fluff and bad comedy.
Thray-Walsh works for EGM? I thought it was IGN. (Or is it both?)
