I just put up a review for Cobra Command on my site. If anyone can find me more pics, I'd be obliged.
I know I'm gonna revive
When I am...on the road.
I've got nowhere to hide
When I am...on the road.
And there's no use in wondering why
It made you feel like running from me then, girl
How many more tears must I shed
So as to melt the freezing wall of time?
So I'm gonna break it
Have no fear...on the road.
You know I'm sure to make it
No matter what's...on the road.
And don't you know it's very hard
She keeps barking to the silver moon
But I don't care how long it takes
As long as she lights up my way in the gloom
Until the very moment...when I see you again
I keep steering along the road to the sun
The burning sun
Hear the roars of my car, I'm nearly round the bend
Searching for a love that we did share
There's no one who can stop me now
Who sang those Lyrics somewhere I read Frank Stallone was
the voice, is it true?
I've always enjoyed Dragon's Lair-type LD games, and I've never had the chance to play any of these. I'm curious how the video quality is on the PS version of Time Gal... and I'm more curious about the Mega LD version. Considering I doubt I'll ever fork over the cash necessary to get a Laseractive, I can't see myself forking over the cash for a copy of that anytime soon, either.
Road Blaster (No S) is the Japanese title for Road Avenger. The name was obviously changed due to potential confusion with Roadblasters, as evidenced here.
The Playstation and Saturn double packs(Time Gal/Ninja Hayate and Roadblaster/Thunder Storm) are ports of the Arcade Laseractive titles and as such are missing and Sega CD exclusive features, such as the sweet opening theme song to Road Avenger. The video quality is better than the Sega CD version, but I imagine the Laseractive original is still the best. Some options are included to tweak the gameplay, such as mirroring the picture or using updated frontends. In Road Blaster, the control is also altered a bit. While you only had to tap the direction in the Sega Cd version, you actually have to hold it in until it disappears on the Sat/Ps version. Sort of as though you are really "steering" the car. Takes some time to get a hang of.
As for the Time Gal fan service, I've heard it was in there but I never noticed it.

I used to have Braindead 13 for Saturn too.
 I have the Japanese release of Braindead 13, and while I haven't put in the time to progress very far, it is freaking hillarious even (or especially) with the incomprehensible dialogue.Quote:

eh, and it's worth mentioning that Time Gal/Roadblaster/Cobra Command were developed by Wolfteam, who then became Gau (of Crusader of Centy fame) or something. Anyone know if they exist in any capacity nowadays?
They still exist under the name Namco Tales Studios. Members of Wolf Team left and became Gau/Nextech but Wolf Team existed for a while after that.
I wouldn't exactly call them the developer of those FMV games. They just ported them. Time Gal is a Taito arcade game and Road Avenger and Cobra Command are Data East arcade games.
