Went to work yesterday and read some marketing notes and it said to take Postal 2 was banned in North America and to immediately take them off store shelves for immediate recall. Didnt really read to much about this game but I played the first one and thought it was pretty cool.
Dont think it could have been worse then Grand Theft Auto or half the other graphic games on the market.

At least, if this is true, it isn't much of a loss.
I hope this isn't true. I didn't plan on buying the game anyway since the demo wasn't impressive but I can't stand censorship.
As far as I know it is banned in all Futureshopes in Canada....dont know about Best Buy but I presume so since they own us.

This is good news :)
the only good news here is that the game hasn't been selling well. i'm always a little uneasy when some all-powerful entity decides whether or not we can read/watch/play something. yeah, the developer is irresponsible, but that's up to the public to decide.Quote:

Well if it deters similar games from being made than i'm all for it. I'm not a fan of censorship but I hate this tasteless garbage even more. As a society we should set standards insteading of tolerating the blatently revolting.
No, it's really not worse than GTA 3, hell, Soldier of Fortune 2 has WAY more graphic violence than Postal 2 could hope for.
You said North America, but you're talking about Canada...? That could just mean banned in Canada, and not the US.
Sure, Postal 2 is a shit game, but this will be the one to get the ball rolling, so they can ban other games they deem "offensive".
