Sounds like you may have one of the older Action Replays, though I knew them as 4-in-1's rather than 5-in-1's. The older Action Replays were not fully compatible with both MSH vs. SF and Vampire Saviour. Later versions of the Action Replay corrected this problem. see i thought it was something like that but the 5 in 1s (check the saturn hardware faq on gamefaqs for why some are called 5 in 1s) was not suppose to have this problem
and everything about mine matched the newer 5 in 1s ohhh well
hmmm maybe ill just mod my action replay instead
