Hmm... there's a lot of shit like this for the Famicom, because piracy was rampant and it was so huge. There was like a Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Tekken, Somari (Mario in Sonic), all sorts of goofy crap like that. Pretty interesting actually. I heard some of these were quite decent, Ive never tried any myself.

The pirated SF2 for famicom with only Zangief, Guile, ChunLi and Ryu. Never played it but saw it mentioned in EGM a long time ago.

Phantasy Star 4 for nes. It goes as far as to the point where you get the alshine then freezes. It looks amazing.

King of Fighters 98 for genesis, which is just a hacked Fatal Fury rom.

Sonic for snes, which is incredibly retarded.
