Video Game expert indeed.
yeah, i remember watcing this live as it happened. that's really bad considering he's CNN's game guy.
fuck-ing-hell. that is pure pwnage:lol:
Dear lord...
He got paid for it too. :bang: :bang: :bang:
How do I get in on this scam?
I saw it live too and was like "WTF that dude thought Mario 3 was Mario 64!"
So sad.
My question is why the hell are they showing Mario 3 anyway?
Because it's being rereleased on GBA.Quote:

listen im not saying these mainstream reporters have to know everything about video games or anything like that
but i do think you should do your homework enough to know what game is being shown on the footage you have selected for your piece
:bs:
How much you bet that he made that shit up so he didn't look like a nerd on national television.
See, it's not like they showed him Mario 3 and he said "I think this is the all-stars version, but it's been so long." he actually thought it was 64. that's no video game expert. not even close. That's quite possibly the farthest thing from an expert I've ever seen.
Even confusing the All stars vesion with the NES version would be a horrible mistake.
That's what I'm saying. Seriously this guy should lose his job, he's a total fraud. That's like if a car sales man was shown a mustang and said it was an explorer, it's unexcusable.
The guy wasn't a gamer. NO self-respecting gamer would make that kind of mistake.
Guy probably hasn't played video games in years.
i bet that guy works for G4... he'd fit right in over there.
The really stupid thing is all he had to do was pay attention to the start up screen to know the name of the game. Gamer experience was not required. This was just plain stupidity.
You gyys are being too harsh. It's not like they were
mainstrean titles. Those 2 games only sold a combined 20 million copies.
uh... I believe Ronald Regan was president durring the Civil War. To be honest I don’t remember, it’s been so long.
I'm very impressed by that. I should just take it for granted by now that the general media has no respect for video games, and puts forth 0 effort in writing articles about them, etc. I remember reading a "Nintendo timeline" article in Target's magazine that completely left out the SNES. Wasn't pictured or mentioned. Insane.
Mistakes made by non-gamers is one thing... when it's your fugging job to know at LEAST a LITTLE about video games, then it pisses me off. Any one of us would be 1000x more deserving. At least.
You were in the Civil War?!;)Quote:
