Next Gen I'm going with ONE console

Seeing all this multi-console-game-hopping, and tiring of this rollercoaster ride of gaming somewhat, I'm just going to buy ONE console next Gen. Which one? Actually, that I haven't determined, however I plan on measuring this by tallying up the scores, franchises, & games of this generation that I own and seeing who is on top, at this moment in time it's leaning toward Nintendo actually, with MS holding an Ace with Panzer Dragoon. Funny to look at this bulging market and see how few games are actually GOOD, and Nintendo seems to have the bulk.

(Oh, and I don't care much for RPG's)

Whichever one has games that interest me the most is the one I'll get.

I posted this because this hadn't occured to me until today. When I looked at my EGM and see in the reviews for just about all games: "Also On" and the other two consoles are there. Lead to think, why bother having them all? True, you might miss out on 10% of good games on the other two consoles but it will just make the console you have seem that much more special.

As far as me being poor: There has always been money for games, it's just that I see it becoming overkill and plan on slowing this pony down.

Why bother having them all? To having the richest, most diverse gaming experience that you can. I can honestly say that this current generation wasn't doing much for me until I got the Xbox, and was wowed by Shenmue II and JSRF.

no way, those 10% (or whatever the number is) are totally worth owning multiple systems for. hell, i bought an N64 and a gamecube with one game in mind for each system --- ocarina of time and metroid prime, respectively. it's these exclusive games that make each console worth it. how would you have discovered the greatness of gunvalkyrie if you had bought a PS2 and only a PS2?

Because I prefer the controller and progressive scan of my XBox, but the PS2 has the highest rate of exclusive games, while Nintendo's first-party games are neccesities. That's why I have them all.
