Ok...the vast majority of Christians I know judge others (especially non-Christians) at every opportunity, have no qualms about stealing in certain situations, react to violence with violence, engage in premarital sex, are more worried about the acquisition of money than leading a good life, never tithe or give to charity, and a bunch of other stuff that goes against the teaching of Christ.

I'm really not keen on ridiculing other people's faith or belief systems. But they're not exactly making it easy, here.

Heh. Us Christians are worse in the whole 'religion bashing' thing. This is a true story:

The other week, a nun came to my church and started talking about martydom and stuff. I dunno - I wasn't listening. Anyway, afterwards I went up to her and said that I'd been really interested in what she'd said (as you do) and she came out with this line.

"Yes, well, you know. We've all got the chance to be martyrs in this day and age what with the muslims on the rise"

Very ecumenical. I mean, what are we? In the Crusades?

I s'pose I'm a Christian. Roman Catholic by name, but I disagree with 90% of their laws and whatnot. I guess I'm more spiritual in nature - I like the services and I believe in God, Jesus, all that. But I think organised religion isn't the right way to go on all this.

That website, however, is HILARIOUSLY bad. I mean, honestly, most of the peopel who organise this stuff don't have a clue. It's pathetic.

Shit If I made a site that taught people how to spell and My grammar was as atrocious as it is now then I'd expect to be made fun of too. Sad to say, but most people mock Christianity because it is the religion that has been pushed on the the most, and since it condemns people outside of itself, it can seem insulting to anyone not of the faith.

This is a byproduct of living in a predominantly Christian country. If we were in India, people who were not religiously inclined would be mocking Hinduism.

We are human beings. Not superman.

Are we hypocrites? Of course we are. ALL human beings are MASSIVELY flawed. Which is exactly why those of us who do believe in Christ readily acknowledge our need for salvation. We know we are complete fuck-ups and always do things that go contrary to the teachings of Holy Writ. Trust me, if these Christians are posessed by the Holy Ghost, none of the behavioral examples you gave have escaped their personal notice and they probably chide themselves worse than you ever could because of it.
