I'd love to know how they thought they could get away with it...or how any of it seemed like a good idea at all.

Not meant as a flame, just as an observation.
When did I ever tout myself as anything other than a simple believer?
Just because I know more of the Bible than others that doesn't make me better than them.
Besides, how is saying I want this world to burn ignorant when it's going to happen in the near future anyway?
Killing people is always wrong. I'm a great believer in forgiveness, but I realise that's probably not very popular in a situation such as this.Quote:

Life imprisonment.
Government approved murder is still murder.Quote:

But these people were just idiots to the Nth degree. No argument there.
This sort of thing always gets me... I can't argue with that, and at the same time I can't think of a punishment to fit the crime here. Life in prison would be too good for them.Quote:

I admit. Even for someone who is against the death penalty, often enough my gut reaction when I read something like this is "they deserve the same done to them. Have a boulder dropped on their faces." After recollecting my thoughts on the matter, I can't see why the state should sanction the practice of executing citizens, despite how heinous their crimes might be. Resolution with the tragedy for the victim's families should not require more death to arrive full circle.Quote:

I guess this is more for the death penalty thread some days back.

I mean hell, religous folk have only been claiming the end of the world is coming for what, 2000 years, hell, they gotta get it right one of these times.
And what I mean to say, is just because a small percentage of the world is fucking insanse, is hardly reason enough for everyone to die...
A small percentage?:wtf:Quote:

This is just the stuff we hear about. How much more insanity goes on that we don't know about?

*gavel*
Damn I love Philadelphia! I can't wait to go back this fall.
Well I dont support the death penalty, so I would much prefer that they just rot in a jail cell and get ass raped for the remainder of their existence. Then, a higher authority could exact whatever judgement on them that they earned, because there's nothing we can do on this Earth that is proper.
