And what right do they have to do that? They closed that promising tunnel for someone else.
You are right. But giving a person the remainder of his life to either find personal or spiritual redemption should be a basic, irrevokable right, despite the fact that they may have cut that very same right short for someone else. But then again, it falls into the eye-for-an-eye debate category.
