I kinda need help with my VCR. the damn thing is only 2 years old. its a Phillips Magnavox. it only plays and records in black and white. and when i turn it on to watch out it, there are lines and blurs on the tv. i only have a n64 hooked up to it Phillips site is worthless so i was hoping someone here would help. Unfourtunatly i know im gonna get flamed. :sweat:
First Step: clean the tape heads
If that doesn't work...
Second Step: find a repair man
2nd step buy a new vcr, they are so cheap a repairman is worthless...

Well, a repair job is probably going to run $40-$50 if it's out of warranty, and if something breaks a first time, it probably will again...
And you can get a new VCR for 50 bucks.
Best Buy has a slew of them for $20 or so.

It's been at least six or so months since I saw them for that price. Also, it could have been a sale price. Either way, it's probably cheaper to buy a new VCR than to get an existing one repaired.
I'll agree with the getting of the new one instead. I'm not a mr. money bags at all, but repairs are way too expensive compared to just getting anew one, and the new one will be better quality anyway.
