Matrix Reloaded : IMAX version

Well, The Matrix Reloaded opened on IMAX screens on June 6th.

I live in Annapolis, MD and the closest theater I could find with it was in King of Prussia, PA. So my girlfriend and I drove down there (2 and a half hours each way!) on Monday night to check it out. It was her first IMAX film ever. Suffice to say, she was blown away.

I mean, seriously! :whoa: This HAS to be seen to be believed. Even if you didn't really like the movie that much, there is no denying it's super impressive visuals. Now, imagine the Burly Brawl, in your face, and 15 feet high!! (I might have that wrong, but it's fucking huge whatever the size is!). I had so many WOW moments during the movie, that I just had to giggle like a schoolgirl while I was watching. I couldn't believe that they would be nice enought to release this on IMAX, and that I was lucky enough to see it.

Hmm, I have IMAX right here, in downtown, but I'm still not sure if I want to see MR another time.

Holy shit it's out in IMAX now? I thought it was later this month! Time to make some phone calls.

I have seen Matrix: Reloaded every night for the past week (we have the DVD) so I'm a bit burned out on it.

Would be cool to see in IMAX though. But not cool enough to drive four hours.

i also have the dvd and watched the first 5 minutes and got bored. the entire first 5 minutes is solid bullet time.......snore.

Dude, I have been planning to see this ever since the news appeared on Matrix Fans. I know Will has already seen it in NYC's Imax theatre (the bastard!), and I am currently trying to get my friends to make the trip up to NYC to see it.

I've seen Imax films before, but they were documentaries, so I'm dying to see how this will play on such a massive screen.

when i get some offtime from work on the weekend (which will never happen. damn you home depot!) i plan on seeing it on an IMAX screen. i believe Balboa Park has one...

fuck, the one closest to me didn't pick up Reloaded. Idiots. Looks like a bit of a drive is going to be in order.
