She was better on Screen Savers, but only because she didn't have to read all the terrible 'edgy GEN-X OMFG!!!' lines that XPlay comes up with.
My gosh the show is horrible; it's like Game Informer in spoken form.

What is so bad about GI?
Its a good magazine, so its cool to hate it.
I just don't like their writting:
- They tend to have low space for reviews, because they try to cram so many into one page, with at the most 3-4 pages used on a single game.
- With what little space they have, they have an affinity for cracking jokes that aren't funny, instead of talking about the game.
- There seems to be no merit in what they think of a game, because their opinion can contrast greatly with the score given. Mind you, I mean the review and score both from the same reviewer. Like all the editors gave Enter the Matrix 8-9, though all of them stated the same problem; the game was repetitious, boring, and didn't pull off any gameplay elements well. But? The game looks gorgeous, the animations are flawless, there's cut-scenes filmed by the original cast...all superficial things which couldn't possibly make up for a bad playing game. I would think if an editor admits to a game being boring, even all the visual flash wouldn't convince them of rating something so high. Then again, I don't like ratings, but such a gap between what's said and the final grade is grating. How could someone be so bipolar on a game?
So yeah...XPlay does everything GI does; they rate a game high even when they don't like it, make jokes that are unfunny and eat up time for the review, and don't really put too much time on any single game. Though I guess the last one is understandable (for both), but you would want to use what you have wisely, right? It's not a game-reviewer gets paid to do a stand-up act or be 'gen-x' (at least I would hope not).
Either way I ignore both GI and XPlay now, but wanted to reply to this. That's all. The way I see it, both Morgan Webb and Adam Sesler (sp) are getting paid to deliver the 'act' the writers decide on - so you can blame them on bad delivery of joke, but not if the joke is bad to begin with.
But...I like EGM and Play...Quote:

Yeah, but I can't remember any of their names. All I remember is Lisa Ling, that one chick from the Real World, That ugly Jenniffer whatever girl, and Maria Menounos (sp?) who is now on ET on MTV. Maria is really attractive....until she opens her mouth and talks, her voice really kills it.Quote:

There's no goddamn excuse for Play. What a farce.
It's called comparison. Look into it.Quote:

pwned.
(Back to the thread topic...) I owned her and Adam Sessler (in succession) in Outlaw Volleyball today. They both seemed super-nice. In fact, Sessler may have been offended by my (highly offensive) attempts at trash talking. :/
I have no idea who this person is.
I hope you mean a preview copy, because Outlaw Volleyball got pushed back to 7/8.Quote:
