At my Namco's Time Out, Konami's Warzaid arrived this weekend with a 75c price per play. There will be a deluxe twin monitor 4 player Warzaid released in July. This release of the game features the ugly new Konami logo.
It may not be Time Crisis 3, but it's not too bad either. To hide, you shoot outside the screen. You can see around your shield, rather than peering through a hole in it ala Crisis Zone. When you hide, your gun will be instantly reloaded. Warzaid eschews the spy theme of the TC series and goes with a military motif. If you find a machine gun or rocket launcher, you tap start to switch between that and your standard weapon.
You have around 2-3 minutes to complete each mission in the game. One urban mission takes place either at day or night depending on what stage you play it on.
I'm hoping the deluxe machine turns up someplace. Like TCIII, this runs on a PS2 based board. Hopefully this gets ported as well.
