I hate everyone.

OK, so I was at my house in Baltimore today, for about twenty minutes.
I went outside to smoke a cigarette and lo and behold, my car is missing a window.

Upon further inspection I see that my car is also missing a laptop... and an Xbox...
They tried to steal my phone, but dropped it half a block down the street. Oh yeah... they also stole about $100 worth of prescription medication.

So not only did I lose my shit, but I'm going to start getting sick again... hooray! Among the things they stole: Rinocort a decongestant. Are they thinking they can get high off of that?

They even stole my fucking inhaler... why?

I really want to kill everyone in that city... I just got that laptop a few weeks ago.

Anyone have any thievery stories they want to share?

At the risk of sounding insensitive... let this be a lesson learned: don't leave valuable shit in the car. Speaking as someone who's seen a car full of stuff my parents just bought stolen right in front of me, I keep my stuff out of the car as much as possible... or if I HAVE to, I keep it hidden like in the trunk. Hell, my CD wallet is full of duplicate CD's. (That way the originals are safe at home in case the wallet is stolen; I just have to reburn the CD's.)

man,hope they catch the guys..do you know anyone who drives a hummer? i think anoher thread had a novel application of one of them in the criminal justice system. anyhow, luckily, since i live in a city where i am the entire youth culture, no crime,everyone is too old to rob anyone.

Hard not to leave valuable things in my car, considering that I pretty much live in it.

And I don't have a trunk...

People really suck sometimes. I've had plenty of stuff stolen. When it comes down to it though, it's just all material stuff. Stuff can be replaced. People can't. You should feel lucky that you weren't there when it happened, you could hav been seriously hurt. Or shot or something.

My entire car was stolen a few months ago. Then there was a big fiasco with the insurance agency not wanting to pay because it was still registered in New Jersey but I am living in Canada and they were suspiscious... they hired a crazy French private investigator (who seemed like he belonged in a Pink Panther movie). The thing dragged on for months before we got the money back and we didn't even get full value for the car.

The only not-so-sucky thing about the whole ordeal was that I was considering selling the car anyway. I don't need one living downtown two blocks from the Métro and whatnot. It's truly much better and cheaper to be car-free... but I am still pissed off that *my car* was nicked. It was a great car too... a 98 VW Jetta GT. :(

The locks on my car door busted thanks to an awesome friend. I have a CD-to-tape adapter, so I just throw my CD player in the trunk whenever I go somewhere. Thankfully nothing has been stolen so far.

But if my Master Shake Air Freshener gets swiped, I'm just going to snap.

I'd rather be there when it happens so I wouldn't lose my shit. The majority of burglars don't carry guns anyway.

Sucks to hear. Even if you do live in your car, leaving valuable equipment in it will only lead to stuff like this happening. People suck. At least you only got 60 years or less to put up with em, right?
