I would like to go do some skiing in the Québec City area. There are some great hills around there. I love Mont St. Anne. I also really like Jay Peak and Whiteface in the States.
I think Blue Mountain was near Quebec up north. A nice Chalet from what I heard. I was supposed to go there for New Years with a buddy and stuff but that didn't pan out.
It sounded nice.

Marking something as a gift does not preclude it being charged duty. I found out the hard way as well. I got charged duty on an expensive package my parents sent me from the US and I was incredibly pissed off. :mad:
I have found that it does not always work out to those exact regulations listed on the website. It seems to be that the limit is closer to $100 than the $60 they mentioned, but maybe I just got lucky a few times?
It's easier to get around the rules when you are receiving something from someone you know personally. If you are ordering from a big company you might get stuck - unless you speak to someone personally who is taking care of your order. They could always devalue the goods or remove any shrinkwrapping so they are not "new".
