Hmmm "Drink Beer, You Pussy!" sounds pretty good, is that a import or something made here in the states? And can I get it bottled, I prefure bottled beer.
I've never seen bottled bear. Sounds good though.Quote:

Yeah, typically you only see bottled Koala bear. But don't let the animal rights people catch you drinking that.
And Maui is the 12th. When I went there last winter, I thought I'd wandered into a suburb of Vancouver by mistake.Quote:

Hey, come on - they've got plenty of culture. Baseball, basketball, telephones, all wonderful facets of American history, right?Quote:

Hrrrm ... I think you'd actually have to have a culture in order for us to steal it. ;)
Don't worry! Remember, you borrowed that from the British :)Quote:

Yes, I know. That was an attempt at a subtle joke (probably too subtle!).Quote:

Alexander Graham Bell was Canadian by the time he figured the telephone out - his family immigrated to Brantford, ON.
Baseball is also Canadian, BTW. Football might be, but it's debatable.
I wasn't sure if you were kidding or not, since I'm alomst positive baseball is American. Abner Doubleday is usually credited with the game, although recent evidence suggests baseball was around at least 50-60 years before him.Quote:

As for football, Walter Camp codified it at Rutgers university, but the first game was between Rutgers and McGill, so I guess you could say there was some invlovement. But really, for that first game they were just playing soccer while carrying the ball and knocking each other over.
The first recorded baseball game was played in Canada - somewhere in Southern ON or New Brunswick (can't really remember). It was probably around long before then, since there's nothing that suggests that this game was a novelty for the players.Quote:
