Well yeah, everything besides the Metal Gear comment stands.
But when a game that relies heavily on level design screws up in that department, it's gonna have a big impact on the game.
Those levels could have been as big as they wanted, but when each one doesn't feel different from the next, there's a problem.
I applaud Miyamoto for trying something new with the series, but I don't think having a "theme" was such a brilliant idea.
