Nintendo Fusion Tour Announced

It was announced today that the popular alternative rock band known as <i>Evanescence</i> (best known for their hit single "Bring Me To Life") will be joining several other bands in the Nintendo Fusion Tour. The tour will visit 25 cities across North America, beginning in Los Angeles on August 4th and ending in the Pacific Northwest in late September. Playable GameCube and Game Boy Advance games will be present at each concert location, including both brand-new and retro titles.

Several other emerging artists, such as <i>Cold</i>, <i>Revis</i>, <i>Cauterize</i>, and <i>Finger Eleven</i> will also be supporting the tour. Cool idea, although I'm not a huge fan of Evanescence. Cold is a pretty cool band. I'll check the site to see if it'll be in the NY area. :D

I like Cold and I like Evanescense, so I hope the tour comes here.

I think Evanesance is gay. Lets put a hot goth chick crooning over how misrable she is with the losers twelve stones.

At least Microsoft goes on tour with Radiohead. They have musical taste.

I don't think it has anything to do with having taste. Just about pushing in with the 'in-crowd' to get the teens to think Nintendo's cool and edgy.

But there's nothing wrong with 'hot goth chicks' in general. =p

Ok, to be honest, I've only had their CD for a few days, and I haven't listened closely to the words, but it didn't sound to me like "crooning about misery" to me. Maybe I need to go back and analyze the lyrics more or something.

And, the guy from 12 Stones does guest on one track, but I don't know how that makes them "gay". Also, I don't really think that that guy is a "loser" but I don't know him terribly well. Seems to be doing okay for himself though.

I was being very abonoxious, sorry I didnt make that clearer. I just really don't like the lyric she sings, "save me from the nothing I've become." Thats self worshiping pity, if I've ever seen it.

I mean I'm all for Nintendo whoreing themselves out to bands, but at least make them cool bands.
