Eidos to Publish R-Type Final in US?

It appears that Eidos has obtained the US publishing rights to Irem's R-Type Final for the PlayStation 2, if this article is correct.

That would really be nice. I would love for this game to come stateside.

It's almost like they know I don't like them, and are trying damned hard to change that. Fresh Games was the ice breaker, and now this...I suppose it won't be much longer before I'm saying the same thing. ;)

Doesn't matter that much to me but it's nice for the less fortunate, strange that other companies was interested too.

I hate Eidos with all my heart and soul, but if this is true I love them.

THESE are the kinds of games I would LOVE to see the Fresh Games label bring over. Mr Mosquito is cool, and I'd like to try out Legaia 2 eventually, but this is really, really nice. Go Eidos! :D

I'll second that. This one is short, but very sweet.

Another good one is Taito's ad for the PS version of Densya de Go (on the original release of Side by Side Special).
