Mine is a long tail of peril and woe.
Back a long long time ago, when the internet was plagued with lots of black sites with neon green text and stupid moving gif pictures, there was www.gamefan.com. I shouldn't have to go into detail on what that was a site for and the magazine it was for. I became a member of it's message board, back when message boards where long conected together thingamuboobers. You'd had to been there to know. My name was Optimus Prime at the time. I later got quake with a free trial of TEN. Got into that heavily for a few months. After getting board with that I came back to good old gamefan.com. My message board was gone, and in its place, there was a chatroom. So I gave that a shot. Someone had already regestered my old nick, so I used the name IronPlant. IronPlant was the nick name of a character in a story I was writing that I had yet to give a real name. I chatted there for severial years before they finally got rid of the mirc based chat room and went java. Ah the memories. Being kicked every day for saying bad words, play quake 2 with the ed's of gamefan, but I digress. The old gamefan chatters kept the room alive on mirc. So I found my way to that. Dangohead and ECM still chatted on the mirc one every now and then. That is how I heard about GameGo. I went, took a look, went back to my chatting. Never did see the mag in stores to buy. The mag came and went. Over time though the conversation of GF#Tavern degraded from some times intelgent converations to, never intelegent conversations. Not that that is a bad thing, the Tavern is fun in its sick, evil, kids in the hall way. So one night while looking for something, I forget what, I found the gamego site still up, went over to the message board and found a nice complex conversation of sorts going on. I posted, they posted, the rest is as they say, history. And there was some lightsaber battles and a ring in there somewhere, I forget though, memory not what is used to be, you see.
